Baton Rouge, La. – Tiger Stadium had its third largest crowd 93,022
on hand to see the #1 nationally ranked LSU Tigers Host #17 Florida Gators.
LSU set the tone on their first drive and second play of the game when Quarter Back Jarrett Lee goes up top to wide out Rueben Randle for a 46 yard Touchdown pass. The two play drive only took 44 seconds.
With a 2 and 8 yard Touchdown run from Spencer Ware along with a 35 yard field goal from Drew Alleman, LSU reeled off 24 unanswered points. Afterwards, Florida counters with a 34 yard field goal before the end of the first half.
Opening second half, LSU still controled the game adding another field goal to put them up 27-3.
Florida finally gets something going when freshman Quarter Back Jacoby Brissett hits wide out Andre Debose for a 65 yard Touchdown pass. The Gator’s hands off to running back Chris Rainey for the 2 pt.
conversion to give them 11pts.
LSU is a team that has two of the best QB’s in Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson. This will keep any opponent off balance when you switch them in and out. Jordan Jefferson is such a threat to run when he’s in the game. The Tiger’s used him in the 4th quarter on a play that he baits the Gators into thinking he will run and at the line of scrimmage he jumps up and throws a 2
yard pass to senior tight end Mitch Joseph that gives LSU a 34-11 Lead. On LSU’s next possession Jefferson comes in to try and bulldog his way to the end zone but Florida was ready for him. Jefferson hands off to running back Alfred Blue on a 2 yard run for LSU’s final score making it 41-11.
LSU has so many offensive weapons they’re hard to figure out and its defensive is tuff and talented also here at Tiger Stadium (DeathValley).
