Cotton Bowl to host Red Bull Game Breakers Tournament Finals


High Schools from Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas compete for 7 on 7 Regional Qualifiers championship
The Red Bull Game Breakers Finals 7 on 7 Tournament is sure to be one the most electrifying displays of skill, speed and talent.
The 4 ½ hour tournament set for June 25th at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas will feature eight high school teams who have all won their perspective regions or finished second. Four of the eight teams are from Texas with two each from Louisiana and Oklahoma.
The Texas representatives steam from four areas which are Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. Division 1 Class 4A state champs Lake Travis will represent the Austin Region by way of defeating Georgetown. West Mesquite got pass DeSoto for the Dallas Region Championship. Cy-Fair came from behind to defeat undefeated Manvel for the Houston Region and San Antonio Warren took out undefeated San Antonio Reagan for the San Antonio Region.
At stake here is a chance for state powers to meet that have never met.
The two Louisiana representatives are Champion St. Augustine an all male private school from New Orleans nationally noted for academics, athletics and their high stepping band. Runner up Edna Karr is the other representative, both represent the New Orleans Region.
The final two representatives are Oklahoma’s champion Midwest City, a national basketball power and runner up Yukon.
