Former Cowboy running back Murray held to two yards but Dallas loses Romo to injury

Without the services of Dez Bryant, the Cowboys have managed its first two wins of the season.
The victory also concluded without quarterback Tony Romo, who broke his left collarbone in the third quarter when Jordan Hicks sacked him.
However, there was no need for Cowboy fans to get stirred up about this win. Its defensive front seven dismantled the Eagles offense throughout the evening and forced four turnovers, which enabled the Cowboys to walk off Lincoln Financial Filed with a 20-10 victory on Sunday.
Bryant went down in week one with a foot injury. Now in week two, Romo is out.
“It never feels good when you get hurt,” said Romo, who was 18-of-27 with 195 yards before leaving the game. “Especially the way I feel about our team and the way the guys played tonight.”
Even without its star players, the Cowboys (2-0) defense stood for the occasion, harassing Philadelphia’s offense throughout the game. It held the Eagles to 21 first-half yards and former Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray carried 13 times for two yards in his first action against his former team.
One such moment came when Kyle Wilber returned a blocked punt 26 yards for a touchdown.
Quarterback Sam Bradford, who was 23-of-37 with 224 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, suffered three turnovers. Bradford’s two interceptions and unaware of a snap, which resulted in a fumble, recovered by Nick Hayden, was all part of an embarrassing day for Philadelphia.
“Tonight was pretty tough,” says Sam Bradford. “The biggest thing with us, we just got to establish a rhythm.”
In the third quarter, the Eagles worked its way down the field inside the Cowboys five-yard line at the three. Two plays later, in blanket coverage, linebacker Sean Lee picked off Bradford’s pass in the end zone, intended for Zack Ertz.
Dallas kept the pressure on stuffing the holes, cutting off running lanes and keeping Bradford on his heels.
“It was very disappointing, couldn’t get anything started,” Eagles coach Chip Kelly explained “I don’t think the running backs really had time to access if there were a hole. Too much penetration up front and too many guys in the backfield.”
Dallas led 6-0 in the first half on the strength of two Dan Bailey field goals. Later, in the fourth quarter, Brandon Weeden’s 42-yard touchdown pass to Terrance William gave Dallas a 20-3 lead.
“It was a lot of adversity we had to overcome today,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “I thought our team did a really good job to continue to battle and fight.”
Eagles got a 46-yard field goal from Cody Parkey and Bradford threw a late touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews to close the gap 20-10.
