Polite, receivers too
much for Volunteers

In the night cap of the Herbstreit National Kickoff Classic, the DeSoto Eagles (2-0) showed up in a big way disposing the Arlington Bowie Volunteers 49-21.
The Eagles continue to impress with perhaps one of the most talented teams in the national. Led by Quarterback Ryan Polite’s 313 yards, 18-for-30 with five touchdowns.
Antoinne Jimmerson pace the ground game with a 100 of the 221 rushing yards on 13 carries.
The Eagles amaze a total of 543 yards of offense.
Bowie (1-1) avoided the shutout with Quarterback Sergio Cantu airing it out for 247 yards on 12-for-18 and two touchdowns.
The Volunteers finished the night with a total of 375 yards, a 103 coming on the ground.
DeSoto will face perennial power Miramar Florida next week in the Florida vs. Texas at DeSoto Eagle Stadium while Bowie host Dallas Skyline.
