ESPN Networks to air 8 High School Football Games

Espn Networks will open the High School Football Season, airing 8 games on August 27th and 28th.
Schools from 7 different states will strap it up live against each other on national TV. Those states include Alabama, California, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina and Texas. The national spot light is becoming more frequent for prep kids each year. It Also serves as a chance for some kids to be seen by colleges and universities that normally don’t recruit in those areas.
National Seen
Keep in mind, No.1 vs. No.2 is a possibility. Abilene (TX) and Plant (FL) are the top ranked teams in the nation and will meet on September 16th in Texas. That game could very well decide the national champion. Abilene led by cousins Herschel and Ronnell Sims. RB Herschel Sims picked All-State honors last year after rushing for more than 2,300 yard, 33 touchdowns and added 440 yards of receiving on 27 receptions. QB Ronnell Sims the MVP of the Division II Class 5A State Championship game rushed for 1,181 yards, 17 touchdowns and 1,700 yards through the air with 18 touchdowns.
Plant will counter with Florida State’s five star commitment James Wilder, Jr. who stars at (FB/LB). Wilder rushed for 1,010 yards last season and led the defense with 136 tackles. He will be joined by Alabama’s four star QB commitment, Phillip Ely who is 19-0 in two season as a starter. The 6’1 Ely passed for just under 1,900 yards and 20 touchdowns last season in leading his team over Manatee (Bradenton, FL) for the Class 5A Crown 21-14. Plant also owns the 2008 Florida Class 4A title.
Before this game takes place both teams will have to get pass their first few opponents, which could pose some problems.
