Friendswood escapes Lamar Consolidated

In the scorching sun, fans got their moneys worth at The University of Houston’s Cougar Field.
Thirteen innings and five hours later paid off for the Friendswood Mustangs.
The Mustangs jumped out to a seven run lead and watched Lamar Consolidated stage a comeback before it shut the door, pulling off a 10-8 victory in thirteen innings.
Consolidated fail to come up with clutch hits in the bottom of the eighth and tenth innings, leaving runners in scoring position which would have made an impact on the outcome.
With the win, Friendswood will make its first trip to Austin.
