Fresh off injury reserve, better than a month ago, James Harden has quickly found his rhythm after his first game back. The hamstring injury sidelined Harden for seven games dating back to December 31st.
In his first game back against the Timberwolves, he scored 10 points and 22 in a victory versus the Golden State Warriors. Harden’s progress had reached another level when he did what no other NBA player has done by scoring a 60 points triple-double, with 11 assist and 10 rebounds.
Harden opened the season as the front-runner for the NBA most valuable player award. Each and every contest he seems to be pressing toward that mark.
Harden also broke the Rockets single-game for franchise points. Eclipsing Calvin Murphy’s 57 points which were set in 1978 against the Nets. Harden is no stranger to 50-plus point games, owning nine of them.
In Houston’s 114-108 win of the Magic on Tuesday night, Harden found it hard to much wrong on a night that belonged Rockets.
