No 1 nationally ranked Don Bosco Iron men got a resounding 35-7 win over one of California’s top programs, No. 40 Mission Viejo on Saturday night in Ramsey, NJ.  The Iron men were impressive in all facets of the game with a wealth of talent.
No. 2 Allen shined in a national contested battle against No. 27 Longview.  Alec Morris tossed four touchdowns passes and ran for another in a 42-23 victory.  Morris finished his night going 25 of 35 for 368 yards.
St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla), the No 3 team pounded No 71 Cypress Bay 34-0.
Houston Memorial pulled off the upset of the week, knocking off No 46 Ranked Pearland 17-14, the Texas Class 5A Division I state champion a year ago.
Odessa Permian gets tomahawked by Broken Arrow (Oklahoma) 65-26 in an embarrassing loss that drops them to 1-2 on the season
Aledo’ running back Johnathan Gray eclipses the Texas High School Football record for touchdowns in a losing cause, 62-35 to Class 4A, No. 1 ranked Lake Travis on Friday night.  It was a battle of last year’s state champions, Aledo (1-2) won the Class 4A division I title as did Lake Travis winning the Class 4A division II.  A capacity crowd of more than 9,000 fans watched future Longhorn RB Johnathan Gray score four touchdowns to become the Texas’ all-time leader with 148.  Touchdown runs included 6, 82, 1, and 68 steaming from 203 yards on 19 carries.
With the win, Lake Travis (3-0) avenged a 14-10 loss that snapped a 48-game winning streak to the Bearcats a year ago.
DeSoto continues to pile up the points, impressively, with a victory over Cedar Hill, 45-13. QB Raheem Wilson threw three touchdown passes and ran for one to help keep the Eagles undefeated at (3-0).
Dallas Skyline (3-0) off the national, back on the local scene took out Arlington Bowie 47-14.  The Raiders Quarterback Devante Kincade, running back David Green and receiver Thomas Johnson combined for 468 yards and six touchdowns.
The Houston area’s top ranked team, the Klein Collins Tigers mastered Willowridge 49-23 Friday night at Hall Stadium.  Some were surprise to see the Tigers start season in the top spot ahead of Katy.  But only two  weeks into the season, Collins have three impressed wins, which are, 42-13 over Fort Bend Travis, 31-12 (Cy-Lakes) and Willowridge.
