Volleyball is in full swing as Clear Creek holds down the top spot in the Houston area. With experience on its side and three of the top players in the area including Megan Pendergast, Haley Jacobs and Becky Bekelja, will help make head Coach Scott Simonds job easier.
The Cougars are favored to win the region III title. Treading through the Houston will not be a low cost fiddle. The region is loaded with talented teams.
Kingwood comes in at No. 2 as Katy round out the top ten. Dickinson made the move up to 5A with a solid team. That should make things even more interesting.
Cypress Woods and Fort Bend Travis adds new flavor to a usually tough region III. Both new schools had a good showing last season and should be as good or better this year.
In class 4A Brenham grabs the top spot with Friendswood topping out at ten.
