fronts controled line of scrimmage

“This kind of game is a very good experience for our kids. We don’t have this kind of experience if play a team in Mexico, we learn more when we play here. Right now the teams in the valley don’t want to play us so we try to find other teams,” said Monterrey Tech’s Coach Roberto Rodriguez.

Still determine to get in the end zone Schneider found Blake Webb breaking free for the 43 yard touchdown catch to grab a 7-0 lead with 9:35 to go in the first quarter.
“I like they way started we played really really strong defense they had their first offensive possession and we got the ball and we had the ability to quick strike them, that’s what I like to see because I think we have some weapons offensively to be able to do that makes you feel good as a coach. I think our offensive and defensive fronts played well tonight,” said Woodlands Coach Mark Schmid.
The Woodlands rode the arm of Quarterback Schneider to take a 27-0 halftime lead into the locker-room.
It much of the same in the second half until Monterrey Tech got on the board with a one yard touchdown run by Luis Carranza.
Highlander’s kicker Ben Pruitt was a bright spot hitting a couple field goals to help pad the lead.
“It just showed anybody can go out there and we can win the game. Our quarterback did a great job, the receivers caught the ball. We didn’t know anything about Monterrey Tech but we came out here and got the victory. The injury happened on the second play of the game. They just rolled up on my ankle. It’s nothing serious I’ll probably give it a week’s rest and I’ll be back out here,” said Daniel Lasco, the Woodlands Running back.
