Jones-Cowart Stadium plays host to four scrimmage

I was fortunate to see two scrimmages this past weekend. The games took place at Jones-Cowart Stadium. The four teams involved where Booker T. Washington, Eisenhower, Galveston Ball, North Forest the new school comprised of Forest Brook and Smiley.
All four teams showed a glimpse of why theybre capable of reaching the playoffs this season. With each game swopping out after about twelve plays or the first turn over, was enough to keep the players rested and much cooler.
Galveston Ballbs offense was up first against Eisenhowerbs defense, they move the ball down the field on the strength of their offensive line and a power running game complimented by two bruising fullbacks. But the Tornados wasnbt able to break the end zone on their first series of plays.
Washington was up next against North Forestbs defense . They were able to move the ball for a short distance when there star running back appeared to be tackled but kept his balance in route to a seventy yard touchdown run. That was all they would get against a stingy bulldog defense. The bulldogs defense played great the whole game.
Eisenhower showed why there highly touted moving the ball downfield with a
balance of passing and rushing. While Guiton was hitting targets down field,
running back Macgregor wasted no time finding holes, eating up yards and using
his speed to break away from defenders. Eisenhower is stacked and it showed at
the receiver position, with three division one receivers who all stand 6b3 or taller.
Thatbs not including Loston. The defense played well although they gave up a
couple of scores to a athletic and determine Tornado team.
Eisenhowerbs Curtis Macgregor, Kenny Guiton, Craig Poppa Loston, Jazz Reynolds, Greg Timmins, Allen, Marcus Thomas, Verlis Martin and the offensive line looked great. North Forest Michael Sigers, and the offensive line played great.
