National high school football powers to meet


State bragging rights
are at stake for many

The days of crossing state lines are here. If you like high school football on the national level this might catch your attention.
Through the years Texas have been known to many across the nation as a football crazy state. Huge crowds, town closings, cities draped in school colors and more.
Now the time is here to get a glimpse of action outside the state. This is not the first time schools have traveled to other states but each year seems to bring out bigger and better games, a sure way to keep fans at the edge of their seat. It’s becoming a thing of the future.
Some of America’s top high school football programs will meet in 2010. Here are some spicy match ups to keep in mind. Though all have not been finalized, most have. Times and game sites are still being determined for most.
St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) vs. Dallas Skyline. Notes: St. Thomas won the national championship two years ago and sent 19 division 1 prospects to college.
Abilene who won the Texas class 5A Division II title last season and finished as the No. 2 team in the country, will face Plant (FL) a Florida Power.
Florida/Texas Classic
The games will be at Desoto,Tx during week 2. Some of these match ups could be televised.

Springdale (Ark.) Shiloh Christian, has signed on to play Euless (Texas) Trinity at the new Cowboys Stadium.
Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville will be playing Chesapeake (Virginia) Oscar Smith on Sunday September 5th.
Servite High School (California) will be playing John Curtis (Louisiana) in New Orleans
Union (Oklahoma) will play Evangel Christian, La….Union was the 6A Champion of Oklahoma…Beat Jenks
South Panola will travel to Memphis University for the second game in a two year contract.

New Jersey’s Don Bosco Prep who won the national championship in 2009 will also play Gilman School who was ranked #4 in Maryland and has the state’s top prospect in- Darius Jennings
Battle of WA powers
September 11, 2010….2009 WA 4A State Champions Skyline Spartans will face the 2009 WA 3A State Champions Bellevue Wolverines as part of the 2010 Nike Football Classic (CBA)formerly known as the best of the west at Seattle Memorial Stadium.
Since 2007, both teams have won a combined five state championships. Bellevue have won 7 state championships since 2001 and Skyline has won 5. Some may remember that Bellevue played Katy at Rhodes Stadium last season.
The 2004 Bellevue Wolverines are also known for ending Concord (Calif.) De La Salle’s incredible winning streak of 151 games over a twelve year period.

The Glenville Tarblooders will be playing St. Thomas Aquinas in the Herbstreit Classic….
as well as signing a deal to play Warren Central – the Indiana 5A state champs from last season.
