Bears to play for final four
birth since 1950

In the South Region in Houston, The Baylor Bears rumbled past Saint Mary’s 72-49 Friday night at Reliant Stadium, with the win they advance to the regional final where they will face Duke on Sunday for a chance to play in the final four.
The Blue Devils are in search of their 15th final four birth, only two other teams have more appearances which are North Carolina and UCLA.
This is the first Elite Eight showing for Baylor since 1950.
Baylor’s Coach Scott Drew said their defense is among the best, staying in the top ten in the NCAA all season is the top reason for the team’s long tenure in the tournament.
37 points between both guards, Carter and Dunn pave the way for the Bears offense. Dunn led all scorers with 23 points while connecting on four treys. Carter added 14 points and 3 assists. “Outstanding execution,” Drew said.
