If you are familiar with Cade Klubnik, you know his potential is somewhere near the sky. The Class 6A Division I state championship quarterback of Austin Westlake High School won the MVP of the Elite 11 hosted at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California.

Klubnik completed the four-day event with an incredible showing, including aiding his team in winning the 7-on-7 title.
On Friday, the Clemson recruit took home the Golden Gun Accuracy Award.

The dual threat, athletic signal caller and track standout led Austin Westlake to the Class 6A Division I State Championship last season by thumping Southlake Carroll, 52-34 after taking down No. 2 nationally ranked and Class 6A Division I defending state champion North Shore in the semifinals, 24-21.

Klubnik joins counterpart Quinn Ewers of Southlake Carroll as two of the top quarterbacks in the country. Ewers’ stunning numbers in a losing effort, 23-of-39 included 351 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions shows why Ohio State is interested in his services.

In addition, Flower Mound’s Nick Evers, and Bridgeland’s Conner Weigman round out the quartet of quarterbacks from the Lone Star State, which competed at the prestigious 2021 Elite 11.

The yearly event targets the best class of quarterbacks returning for the upcoming high school football season.

Behind Texas, California and Tennessee competed with two quarterbacks, each from its state.
