Following the recent clash, the Texans improved its season record to 7-4 by defeating the injury-plagued Cowboys, 34-10, on Monday Night Football in Arlington.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud had a productive outing, completing 23 of 34 passes for 257 yards, while Mixon’s impressive performance on the ground, totaling 109 yards on 20 carries, set the tone early in the match.

Despite facing a deficit, Cooper Rush threw for 354 yards on 32 of 55 attempts, contributing one touchdown and one interception. He connected with receiver KaVontae Turpin, who capitalized on a coverage error by the Texans’ cornerback Jeff Okudah to score a 64-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to 17-10 and providing a glimmer of hope for Dallas (3-7).

CeeDee Lamb performed admirably, recording eight receptions for 93 yards, while Turpin added three catches for 86 yards.

Houston – It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done. Fairbairn kicked four field goals, and Houston survived a defensive nail bitter to overthrow the late surging Chicago Bears 19-13 on Sunday evening at NRG Stadium.

Ka’imi Fairbairn made the best of his time early this season while making history. After nailing four field goals of 56, 47, 59, and 53, Fairbairn has helped the Texans to a (2-0) start, something they can build on. The field goals played a huge role in Houston’s victory. He became the first kicker to connect on five field goals of 50 or more yards in two consecutive games.

The Texans defense performed well enough to hold Chicago’s offense to 13 points. Anderson and Hunter strung together for three sacks. Mario Edwards Jr., Derek Barnett, Azeez Al-Shaair, and Henry To’oTo’o added one sack each.

Caleb Williams, the top pick of the recent draft, had trouble coping with the Texan’s defense, finishing 23-of-37 for 174 yards and two interceptions. Williams suffered seven sacks and numerous pressure attempts from Houston’s defense. Rookie Kamari Lassiter and Derek Stingley, Jr were responsible for the two interceptions.

The Texans didn’t enjoy the point production it wanted, mainly due to Chicago’s defense. However, C.J. Stroud managed 23-of-36 and 260 yards and one touchdown. That score went to Nico Collins, who finished with eight catches for 135 yards.

Houston led 19-10 when the Bears’ defensive tackle Andrew Billings forced a fumble by knocking the ball out of Cam Akers’ hands on the Bears’ four-yard line with 6:38 to play. That frame led to Cairo Santos’ 54-yard field goal, which showed 2:45 remaining while trimming the lead to 19-13. But that would be as close as Chicago would get.

Texan’s defensive end Danielle Hunter’s sack iced the game as the Bear’s final hopes faded at the 40-yard line.
