Schaub’s ear injury didn’t over shine a 4-touchdown performance which held up to keep Texans undefeated

 
Matt Schaub overcame a vicious hit from Bronco’s linebacker Joe Mays which cost him a bloody ear.
The Texans defense helped secure a victory in the last 22 seconds of its 31-25 defeat of the Denver Broncos, pushing its record to a 3-0, the best start in franchise history, at Mile High Stadium on Sunday evening.
For the first time in the Texans 11-year history, they are 3-0 on the season and take on the role of a serious contender.
Trailing 31-11 with under 12 minutes to play, the Broncos forced a late fumble and a three and out, handing the ball over to its star quarterback Paton Manning who finished with 330 yards passing on 26-0f-52 attempts, two touchdowns and no interceptions.  The 300-plus passing yards allowed Manning to break a tie with Dan Marino for the most 300 yard passing games at 65.
Two touchdown later, closed Denver (1-2) within six, 31-25, the way it would eventually end.
Matt Schaub shook off a slow start, passing for 290 yards on 17-of-30 completions and four TDs with no interceptions.  Including a 52-yarder to WR Kevin Walters, 80 to Andre Johnson, 14 to Owen Daniels and Foster
RB Foster added 105 yards rushing on 25 carries.
