The Iron men of Don Bosco Prep stood tall in upsetting Florida's power St. Thomas Aquinas

 

 

Miami Booker T. Washington shines in lone state, runs away from Cedar Hill

 

 

 

 

Don Don Bosco Ironmen rolled out its steel curtain defense, upsetting  St. Thomas 20-10 Friday night in a live televised game on ESPN at Brian Piccolo Stadium in Florida.

The Ironmen defense forced four costly errors.  With the score knotted at 10, a muffed punt led to the game quencher.  Aquinas  receiver couldn’t regain control of the ball, instead, turning it over at the St. Thomas two yard line.  One play later, Elijah Hanks took it in to give Don Bosco a 17-10 lead. 
After last week’s surprise lost to Baltimore Gilman, the Ironmen used an all-out fourth down bliss to reap habit on Aquinas special teams.  
The Raiders out-gain Don Bosco Prep 293-114, but couldn’t overcome its mistakes.
 
 
Running back D’Von Ballard and quarterback Treon Harris combined for 259 total rushing yards and four touchdowns in dismantling the Cedar Hill Longhorns 40-21in a national showdown at Kinkaid Stadium in Dallas.
Harris added 208 passing yards and two touchdowns.
The Longhorns running defense proved to be the gateway to disaster.
 
 
Junior RB Trevon Walters rushed and receive for a total 227 yards and 2-TDs.  His 85 yard scoring run late in the fourth quarter helped Manatee seal a 44-34 win over Miami Central.
 
 
Euless Trinity suffers its second loss of the young season with a 42-21 pounding at the hands of the DeSoto Eagles. Quarterback Desmond White and RB Dontre Wilson out-scored the Trojans 28-21 and combined for 408 yards.
